Members receive two coaching sessions per month included in their rent. They can choose if they’d like a a personal fitness/nutrition session or a recovery/life coaching session.

Benefit: You’ll receive personal hands on attention through one of our full time Wellness/Recovery coaching who can go over your nutrition and help you develop small goals along with a plan to ensure you reach the next level of your health & wellness.

Members can enjoy the most upscale fitness facility options at Lifetime Fitness.

Benefit: Members have access to one of the premier fitness facilities in the U.S. (YMCA ON TOWNLAKE) which is conveniently located a few miles from our sober living home and includes weights, yoga, pilates, racquetball courts, basketball courts, spin classes, swimming pools, steam rooms, jacuzzi’s, saunas, and a reading lobby area.

All of our members receive monthly 2 hour sessions of holistic Trauma Resolution Therapy through Susan Davis, where she guides you through meditation back into your childhood to help you or your loved one understand where the inner child felt pain and how it was repressed and denied, leading to survival patterns, character defaults and ultimately, the disease of addiction.

Susan is an expert of helping individuals name and identify their past, gain awareness and consciousness of what happened, and begin to feel the buried feelings, helping the individual to thaw out the emotions that have not been accessible, ultimately leading to experience wholeness, love and your true self. These sessions will need to be initiated by the member, which is included and optional.

A personal recovery coach meets with our members twice a month to proactively look out for any recovery issues that may come up and offers healthy suggestions.

Benefit: The recovery coach helps the member create a customized daily and weekly recovery schedule and helps them plan out their week with recovery filled activities and services, in order to address any obstacles they may be facing and assisting members with finding a recovery based solution. This helps our members find new and healthy ways to cope without trying to do it alone.

Meditation has proven to be so successful, that it is listed as the 11th step in the 12 step recovery program.

Benefit: Members can participate in on-site meditation daily at the Gym which is included in the rent. This helps our members ease the mind, connect with their heart, get grounded, refocus thoughts to higher levels, calm emotions and connect with their higher power & true self.

Nutrition physically aids in recovery by replenishing the body with healthy vitamins, minerals, herbs.

This helps reduce cravings, increase energy, decrease anxiety and assist with adapting to a naturally healthy and balanced life.

Benefit: Members can choose to receive a session with our wellness and fitness coach to help them develop a healthy lifestyle and achieve their health and fitness goals.

Yoga addresses all three areas of addiction; the physical, mental and spiritual components as well as the underlying issues.

Yoga has also been proven to help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression and increase peace and understanding.

Benefit: Yoga has been used for thousands of years to help release toxins from the body, calm the mind, and allow healthy, positive energy to flow. Many different yoga classes such as; Kundalini, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Bikram are offered at the YMCA on Town Lake where our members receive a complimentary membership.

The 12 step program allows members to believe in a higher power greater than themselves, based on a god of their understanding.

Benefit: We like to assist our members with their spiritual guidance journey by suggesting one of the only recovery based churches or zen centers that practices daily meditation, and is a non-denominational, non-judgmental Christian church, founded by Father Thomas Keating, the founder of the Christian Contemplative Movement who has also written the book “AA and Meditation”. The Shambhala center is located in the Boldin Creek neighborhood centrally to all of our homes which our members can enjoy complimentary.

One of AA’s most popular books explains how to put the process in place through a simple guide that allows a recovery lifestyle to be reflected on and lived out one day at a time.

Benefit: This book is called “Living Sober” and is offered complimentary to our members. It contains action items so members can live out their recovery practice. The book is sometimes read during our in-house recovery meetings along with other recovery literature to explain and elaborate on the AA recovery practices.
